While we acknowledge that we have a long way to go on the path to sustainability, we feel that it is important to recognize the steps we have already taken.
We started with recycling, and we found partners who enable us to do more to reduce the amount of waste heading to the landfill.

In 2022, we held our first Earth Day event, offering information and activities
for visitors of all ages. We were joined by representatives of
VA State Parks, the Department of Forestry, Natural pHuel, and other organizations.

In 2023, we began adding to our Library of Things, a collection which previously had included WiFi hot spots, Launchpad educational tablets, and backpacks for exploring the outdoors.

We now offer blood pressure cuffs, pulse-ox monitors, white noise machines, and more,
and Spring, 2024 saw the introduction of our seed library.
We look forward to seeing what the future holds!
