Who are the Friends of the Library?
A group of citizens who believe that a first-rate library is essential to making our community a better place to work and live.

What We Do?
We advocate for the library and encourage public support for library services and programs.

Through volunteerism and funding, we support programs for children, acquisition of books and magazines, building renovations and furnishings, equipment purchase and landscaping.

How are We Organized and When Do We Meet?
The friends are a general membership group with a board of directors, officers, and committees.

Membership meetings are held in the fall and special meetings can be called at anytime. The Board meets every other month.

What does the Library do for the Community?

  • Free programs for children
  • Computrers for public use
  • Photo copying (15 cents a page)
  • Fax service (small fee)
  • Meeting rooms for public use
  • Source for community information
  • Books! (borrowing no-cost)
  • Newspapers and periodicals
  • Literacy service (no charge)
  • Adult GED classes
